One thing almost every hardcore Android user does with their new phone is root it. That allows them to get rid of apps they don’t want and to customize the phone exactly how they want. However rooting a phone comes with it’s own risks, and sometimes it breaks some things.

If you are the proud new owner of the Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge, then you might want to hold off rooting your phone. If you do, it’ll break one of the coolest features of the phone, Samsung Pay. If you aren’t familiar with Samsung Pay, it uses LoopPay’s technology to allow contactless mobile payments anywhere. This feature isn’t available just yet but is not too far away due to launch this summer.

It all comes down to a choice. If you root the Galaxy S6, you lose access to this awesome feature. But if you do root it, you gain access to a lot of other awesome tweaks and apps. In the long run, would you root the S6 in exchange for losing Samsung Pay? Let us know in the comments!
