Chuwi’s Windows 10-powered Lapbook 12.3 offers a 2K screen and 6GB of RAM for $349
There are hundreds of Windows laptops on the market today, but most of the good ones are pretty expensive. Smaller manufacturers are sometimes a great place to score a deal, and now Chuwi, a brand you’re probably never heard of, is doing its best to offer up top-of-the-line hardware for a minimal cost.
One of its latest efforts, the Lapbook 12.3, offers up a price tag of just $349, but for that price, it delivers a seriously solid package for Windows 10.
The Lapbook 12.3 is crafted from aluminum and weighs in at just over 3lbs. Under the hood, it’s powered by Intel Apollo Lake N3450 with Intel HD integrated graphics. That’s paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage, but you can upgrade that to up to 256GB. The display measures in at 12.3-inches with a 3:2 aspect ratio at 2736×1824. That all comes with Windows 10 out of the box and an assortment of USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, as well as a mini-HDMI port and a battery which should power through a full day of use.
Chuwi says that the Lapbook 12.3 will be available in May for just $349, a fantastic deal for what you’re getting if you ask me. The company also said that an Ubuntu version could be coming soon.
