Wednesdays at the Polls: Do you use a VPN?
In this new weekly feature, we want to give our readers the opportunity to provide some point-and-click style input on some of the questions we have been pondering.
As debates about online security swirl around Congress and forums everywhere, we want to know, how do you manage your web presence at home? Our personal privacy is taking a beating by ISPs and recent changes at the FCC. Net neutrality is at a crucial tipping point in its existence, and that has many of us concerned. But there is some relief when it comes to protecting our privacy: a VPN (Virtual Private Network). VPNs are an excellent way to start securing your connections, by masking your IP address while surfing the web.
Do you take this stuff seriously and use a VPN all the time? Do only switch on your VPN when downloading unmentionable files? Or do you not use one at all? Let us know in this week’s poll and be sure to expand the conversation in the comments!
