Archeer Bluetooth Speaker Review: Gorgeously Loud Quality
Standing out in a crowd of Bluetooth speakers is no easy task, but this Archeer Bluetooth speaker excels in almost every possible way, making it a solid and versatile speaker for home. So, let’s take a closer look at this.
The first thing that stood out to me was how beautiful this speaker is. The front and back are made of bamboo, with a smooth finish, while the top, bottom, and sides are covered with a canvas like fabric. On the top, the buttons are a minimal rubber design that fits right in with the fabric. All in all, it’s a fantastic design that compliments many design tastes.Features
The Archeer Bamboo Speaker has all the features and ports you would expect. There’s volume, play/pause, and power buttons on the top, but no skip buttons. The back has an aux input, micro USB port for charging, reset button, and battery indicator. As for the actual drivers, they add up to 25 watts with “super bass.”
Now, how do they actually sound? To summarize, amazing. The bass on these is quite strong. So much, that the air coming out of the subwoofer in the back will move paper around from a few feet away. But you only hear the bass — you won’t feel it, because there’s no separate subwoofer.
The highs and mids are pretty good, too. The sound is crisp, and definitely loud. Most of the time, I used a third of their total volume. So, while the audio may not be true to its original sound, it sounds quite good coming from this speaker.
Bluetooth quality and battery
Bluetooth tends to be a sore point for me. Devices equipped with Bluetooth that work as they should are few and far between, and even when they work they’ll frequently disconnect. However, that’s not the case with this Archeer speaker. When you turn it on, your phone will promptly connect once you connect to the speaker in settings. In my testing, it didn’t disconnect, even after using it for hours on end.
As for the battery, it also does quite well. I used the speaker on battery for half the day, and it was perfectly fine. Archeer advertises eleven hours at 50% volume, so you can expect it to last you all day.
Now, I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with this speaker. But that means it comes with a price, and that price is $80. So, while it comes with a more premium price tag, it’s definitely worth the money if you plan on using it a lot. If you want to use a speaker less frequently, then I would recommend going for something cheaper.
