Marshall Enters Into The Wireless Space With The Major II Bluetooth Headphones
Marshall has been a staple in the audio space for years now, and they continue to put out great products down to this day. The company has been manufacturing top notch headphones and speakers lately, but one area they’ve yet to jump into is the wireless headphones space. However that has changed with the new Major II Bluetooth headphones.
These headphones feature a design that is nearly identical to the standard Major II as well as the same 40mm drivers, however these headphones include Blutetooth aptX and an impressive 30 hours of play time on just one charge. There is of course also an included 3.5mm headphone jack for use with devices that do not include Bluetooth which can also be used to share your music with someone else who connects their own pair of wired headphones.
The Major II Bluetooth headphones also include an analogue control knob which gives users access to their music controls and volume. There is of course also a microphone for phone calls.
Marshall will start selling the Major II Bluetooth headphones starting today in EMEA and later this Spring in the US for $150. More information is available in the press release below.
INTRODUCING MAJOR II BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES
THE CLASSIC MAJOR II NOW CUTS THE CORD AND GIVES YOU THE FREEDOM AND CONVENIENCE OF A WIRELESS HEADPHONE COMBINED WITH OVER 50 YEARS OF TRIED AND TRUE MARSHALL PERFORMANCE. SEAMLESSLY CONNECT TO YOUR LISTENING DEVICE WITH THE LATEST IN BLUETOOTH® TECHNOLOGY
The Major II Bluetooth keeps the music going strong for over 30 hours of playing time on a single charge, which is above the industry standard. Turn on, tune in and rock out to the customised 40mm dynamic drivers tuned for excellent bass response, smooth mids and sizzling highs. Major II Bluetooth® connects to your device using Bluetooth® aptX. Not only can you blast your favourite tunes in CD-like audio quality, aptX also minimize audio/video syncing issues, allowing you to watch movies without experiencing horrible lip sync. The double-ended coil cord with mic & remote is completely detachable and compatible with any music player that receives a 3.5mm jack. When listening to music wirelessly, you can use the empty 3.5mm socket to share audio with someone else. With the analogue control knob you can play, pause, shuffle and adjust the volume. Phone functionality is also included so you can answer, reject or end a call with a few simple clicks. The built-in microphone allows you to have conversations or record voice memos through your device. The Major II Bluetooth is the perfect travel companion. Its collapsible design make the headphones easy to store when they’re not in use. Marshall Major II Bluetooth will be available in EMEA February 26, and later this spring in US.
