Archos Unveils A New Set Of Affordable Android Smartphones At CES 2016

Today, just ahead of CES, Archos has unveiled a new set of Android smartphones targeted at the budget market. These new phones start at just €49,99 ($53 USD). The Power line consists of the Power 40 and Power 50 smartphones which €49,99 ($53 USD) and €129,99 ($140 USD) respectively.

The Archos 40 Power packs a 4″ display, 3G connectivity, a quad-core processor, and 8GB of internal storage. It also includes a 1,900 mAh battery which Archos claims will offer up to two days worth of battery life. The Power 50 has a 5″ IPS display with 4G/LTE connectivity, a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. There’s also a 13MP camera on the rear.

The Colbalt series includes the Archos 50 Cobalt and the Archos 55 Cobalt which will cost €99 ($106 USD) and €149 ($160 USD) respectively. The 50 Cobalt has a 5″ IPS display, quad-core processor, 4G connectivity, 8MP rear camera, and 1GB of RAM. The 55 Cobalt upgrades things quite a bit by including a larger 5.5″ display, 13MP camera, and 2GB of RAM.


All of these devices will go up for sale over the next few months, starting in April for the Cobalt lineup and May for the Power line.
