Verizon Offering Up To $650 Per Line If You Switch From Another Carrier
2 min read

Following in the footsteps of, well, everyone else, Verizon has today announced that starting today they will pay the fees associated with dropping your current carrier and coming to the Big Red.

If you’re “stuck on the wrong network”, as Verizon puts it, the carrier will provide up to $650 to get you “unstuck”. This is a per-line deal as well so you could could get up to $2,600 for a family of four. The deal itself is pretty simple, if you’re using any other carrier you’ll need to port your number to Verizon Wireless and then purchase an LTE smartphone through a device payment plan on Verizon. Lastly, you’ll need to trade in your previous device from the other carrier.

One you’ve done all that, Verizon will combine your early-termination fees from the previous carrier and anything you owed on a smartphone and send over a pre-paid VISA card within 8 weeks for that balance. Droid-Life details an example on how this would work.

“…they’ll pay up to $350 on an ETF, minus the value of your device trade-in (let’s say $130), and would then send you a $220 gift card. If you have a device payment to be paid out, they’ll pay up to $650 minus the device trade-in (let’s say $325), which would get you a $325 gift card.”

For all of this to take effect you’ll need to keep your lines active for at least 6 months. If you cancel early you’ll be required to pay back whatever was given on the prepaid VISA card. If you’re interested in taking advantage of this promo, hit up the source link below.
