Apple’s Siri Refresh Internally Known As J.A.R.V.I.S.

Apple has debuted a refresh for Siri using revamped, custom Apache Mesos schedulers. This will help power Siri’s search queries. Internally, Apple is actually calling this update “J.A.R.V.I.S.”. While my mind and yours immediately goes to Iron Man, Apple actually have this as an acronym which stands for “Just A Rather Very Intelligent Scheduler”. Granted, it is of course named after the comic book assistant.

This new update to Siri will be on the backend and is the third generation of Siri since it debuted in 2011. This new update also helps Apple add new features with ease and improve latency. It will also help Apple to scale the service in new countries and with new languages.

Twitter and eBay both also use Mesos to power their services.

It’s not known exactly when the new refresh will go live or if it has already.
