The Number One Thing I Still Hate About Android Wear

Android Wear was announced last year and since the first watch was available I’ve been loving it to death. With new hardware, new software updates, and an ever growing app ecosystem, the whole experience has been great. However it’s not been without it’s caveats. There’s still one thing I really hate about Android Wear.

I use a lot of phones and love to mess with ROMs. That means that I have to repair my watch quite a lot and it’s one of the worst processes possible in my opinion. To connect to a new phone or reconnect after flashing a new ROM, I have to reset my watch completely just to get another connection. While that’s not always the biggest deal, it can be very annoying when I don’t have a lot of time to do it or when I have music downloaded on the watch or my steps for the day on it.

This is something I really wish Google would fix in a future update. Sure, there is an app to fix this problem, but it has never worked well for me and in the end, this is functionality that should be built in.
