Wal-Mart Tricked Into Selling PS4s For $90

Wal-Mart Tricked Into Selling PS4s For $90

It’s unethical, mean, and just plain wrong. But dang it’s funny. Recently a few Wal-Mart customers have posted online receipts of PlayStation 4 consoles they bought from Wal-Mart for just $90. The normal price for this console hits $399, so how did they do it?

Earlier this month Wal-Mart started accepting price matching from online retailers which is a great thing. Personally I buy a lot from Amazon and one major reason is that prices are generally lower, so I was glad to see this. However things like this tend to be taken advantage of, and a set of users certainly did do this.

Amazon allows an registered seller to post listings on their website and someone has the idea to create listings on Amazon for the PlayStation 4 that priced it at only $89.99. Wal-Mart did honor the price even though the listing was faked.

We’re committed to providing low prices every day, on everything, so if you find a current lower online price from an online retailer on an identical, in-stock product, tell us and we’ll match it.
