ASUS Makes The ZenWatch Official

After plenty of teasers, ASUS has offcially announced their first wearable, the ZenWatch. This new watch adds into the growing library of Android Wear devices, and more specifically, the square ones. The ZenWatch of course runs the same Android Wear software that many of us are already used to.

There are a couple small changes however in the form of utilities designed to enhance the experience of using the watch. These include a tool to unlock or find your phone and added gestures such as covering the watch to ignore an incoming call. On the hardware this is definitely a good-looking watch. It has a square 1.6″ inch AMOLED display inside of a stainless steel body. Inside are the standard Android Wear specifications, a Snapdragon 400 and 512MB of RAM.

There’s no news regarding when we will see this watch go for sale, but one price has been mentioned, 199 Euros. Pricing for regions such as the US have not been announced but have been confirmed by ASUS to be under $199.
