Apple’s New Programming Language Already Put To Good Use, To Make Flappy Bird
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past several months, you’ve probably heard of the game Flappy Bird and it’s rise and fall. The game addicted nearly everyone with a mobile device, then was quickly taken away by the developer. So why is it back in the news now? Well if we backtrack to yesterday at WWDC 2014, we can remember Apple’s unveiling on their new programming language Swift. Well now less than 24 hours later, a developer has put it to good use in resurrecting the hit game. Developer Nate Murray has quickly recreated the game in Swift and posted the code in Github. This shows that Swift is going to be popular among developers as they are already working with it and learning quickly.
