Cyanogen Inc Rebrands – Reveals Brand New Logo – Represents Customization, Open Source, And Security
CyanogenMod is the custom ROM of choice for many users of many different devices, and the team behind it works hard. Last year they formed a full on company in the form of Cyanogen Inc., and since then they’ve continued to accomplish amazing things. Everything they’ve done thus far has helped them land in the hands of many other users and raise money to help further their ideas and projects. Now they are making some changes to how they present themselves as a company.
We’ve all seen Cid, the CyanogenMod “mascot” and logo since it began. Now they are bringing an all new logo which doesn’t just look cool, but has a meaning behind it. The logo has three parts, and each one has a meaning. The center hexagon stands for customization. The outer “C” shape stands for security. Meanwhile the final part, stands for Open Source.
Now if you still remember Cid, he isn’t going any completely. He still stands for community as the community using CyanogenMod is still important to the team.
What do you think of these new changes to Cyanogen? Are they for the good, or for the bad? Let us know your opinions in the comments below.
