My Experience as an iOS 7 Beta Tester
In June apple released the beta version of its new software, iOS 7. A little while after, I was able to get my hands on it from a good friend of mine here at iTechTriad.
Now while it has had it’s ups and downs, I can confidently say that I love it. I love it from the redesign, to the control center, and all the little new features it has hidden inside of it. Anyway, what I’m going to do know is go through with you what I experienced while beta testing iOS 7.
Now when I had first gotten the iOS 7 beta , I was over the moon excited to be using this much anticipated redesigned software from Apple. You can imagine my shock when I was able to actually play around with it and my iPhone was frozen. It was in that moment that I realized what it truly means to be using a beta software. Although it did not stay that way, it was a good 30 minutes until it was working again and I was able to figuratively “dig in”.
My first impression of iOS 7 was “Wow. This is amazing!” but as I continued using it I encountered more issues. For instance, at times the new Control Center wouldn’t come up from the bottom of the screen, the iTunes Store wouldn’t function, and random crashes would happen among other things. But I have to admit although there were a lot of crashes at the beginning, as time went on Apple kept improving the betas and I encountered less and less problems with the betas.
So with that I give IOS 7 a big thumbs up. And with the much anticipated Apple even coming tomorrow I can without a doubt say that I am extremely excited for the official release and to hear the thoughts from everyone that I know who are excited about the release of iOS 7.
