iPhone Event Recap
So today Apple announced the much anticipated yet much predicted iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. So we are going to give you a recap of the event and leave the final thoughts to our readers. So first off we have the iPhone 5C. We saw many leaked parts for the iPhone 5C leading up to the event so it wont be anything new as it comes to hardware. In the end the iPhone 5C is the iPhone 5 covered in plastic and in multiple colors. The iPhone 5C will sell for $99.00 for a 16GB model and $199.00 for a 32GB Model.
Next we have the star of today’s announcement and that is the iPhone 5S the iPhone 5S was stated to be 40 times faster then the original iPhone and is going to sport a A7 with a new 64-bit system-on-chip. This makes the iPhone 5S twice as fast as the iPhone 5 bringing speed gains to both graphics and performance. One of probably the biggest newest feature of the new iPhone is the Touch ID sensor! You can now unlock your phone by scanning your finger on the home button. This allows for higher security but also quicker log in to your device. Apple talked about the new features with the camera on the iPhone 5S, they talked about the 5s’ burst mode and slow-motion capabilities and that the phone can take up to 10 shots per second. For slow motion, the video camera can take 720p at 120 frames per second. Apple did not mention how many megapixel the new camera had but I personally would like to see a 13-15 MP shooter on this bad boy!
The iPhone 5S will retail for the following prices
- $199.00-16 GB
- $299.00- 32 GB
- $399.00- 64 GB
The iPhone 5C will begin preorders this friday September 13th and both iPhones will hit stores the following Friday on September 20th. At the current moment Apple will not be taking preorders for the iPhone 5S. So what are your thoughts on the new iPhones? Leave a comment below and let us know!
